Corsair Launching SP2500 2.1 Channel Speaker

While you won’t see it on the Corsair website just yet, we’ve unearthed that the company will be launching its very own line of 2.1 gaming speakers, the SP2500 series in early 2011!

The company debuted its first audio product earlier this year, the Corsair HS-1 gaming headset, and now it appears they want to round out this new business venture with a set of serious gaming speakers.

The SP-2500 2.1 Speaker System has 232W RMS of continuous power delivery through six Class D amplifiers. The set pairs two bi-amplified satellites with 3″ drivers and 1″ ferrofluid-cooled silk dome tweeters , along with an 8″ subwoofer in a fourth-order bandpass enclosure. The set also has a wired desktop controller with 1.8″ (4.6cm) color TFT display and multi-lingual interface.

It appears the speakers have already hit a few store shelves in Asia, and a few retailers in the USA. We expect the Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 2.1 series speaker set to be officially announced during CES 2011 next week. Retail price is $259.99 USD.
